Testing two freshly rebuilt Jöst Porsche 962 . We went from just checking basic functioning to max power output and lapping as fast possible. Chassis Nr.13 and Nr.16 were built to the latest spec of the 90s with double wing , mega downforce , configuration.

    The Porsche has to accelerate so much earlier to have a chance, those C11s were monsters. The C9 was already a worthy opponent, the C11 should have been too much. Amazing drive!

    The driver is certainly a "hot shoe", the Panther is on rails. Shifting the 335 series Ford at just 6500. Impressive!

    The C11 seemed a liiiittle faster in the corners at first, but as lead Ralf was about 2 seconds faster than Rui. Tense driving 💪 awesome

    Regardless it is faster than that, slower than this... sitting behind the steering wheel of the most elegant yet most agressive looking car ever built is priceless, furthermore, racing it is to be in field of freams. Great ride from both pilots...

    These are also historic races. The cars usually aren't pushed as hard. Let's just say that c11 is extremely expensive. lmao.

    When that boost hits..you can't just hammer down at the apex. You have to ease the throttle until you're straight, otherwise instant spin. I would kill to drive any group C car.

      Sorry to burst your bubble but the best official lap time out there for a LaFerrari at Monza is 1:59:00 by an unknown driver and they're lapping 15s faster here... repeatedly at pace, which you won't see a street car do. Fastest historic time here for Group C is in the 1:42 range. Go back to school, kid. You know not what you speak of.

      The display is way off. Maximum RPM is around 8400 (a bit more or less depending on year/trim).

    The epic fight between Mercedes and Porsche! These things are insane. I found on Wikipedia that the Mercedes can reach up to +407 kph. Not even F1 cars can reach this speed

      @Simon Bolduc Not the C11. Only the C9 went that fast and it only did 400 km/h once. The C11 did not have a low drag/low downforce option like the C9 did.

    2.6 tonnes of downforce at 305kph and 1.7g lateral acceleration. That's bizarre. There's footage of the ex Schumacher C11 at Monza breaking traction at around 140kph, engine hitting the limiter and leaving 2x 12m tire marks on the track. I assume that's without ballast in which case the car only weighs about 650kg It's on the Bozzy channel on UA-cam.

      Nice info, do u think that by catering to and focusing more on light weight design instead of just raw power (and lower weight limit like f1), group c cars could’ve weighed 500kg ish without ballast? I’ve been looking everywhere for prototypes’ weight without ballast.
